WATCH RON WHITE ON GOOD DAY LA:

By Jeffrey Thomas DeSocio

Comedian Ron White surprised a lot of people with something that sounded like a comedy bit. He released ‘this’ last week…

Comedian Ron White announced his plans to run for the President of the United States as an Independent. A passionate American, he loves this country and the people in it. White will focus primarily on domestic issues. While campaigning and sharing his position on important issues, White wants to be sure Americans are educating themselves on all issues in order to make informed decisions so they can ‘vote smart.’

White has been an avid supporter of US military for over 20 years. In 2008, he created an annual charity show called Ron White’s Comedy Salute to the Troops, with profits from ticket/DVD sales going to the Armed Forces Foundation to assist troops and their families. “I have seen the effects of PTSD first hand and believe we owe soldiers more than a debt of gratitude when they return from fighting for our country” said White. “More needs to be done in helping them adjust back to their regular lives.”

Three-time Grammy nominated comedian Ron White is one of the most successful voices in comedy history. Best known as a founding member of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour phenomenon, he toured for over three years to sold-out audiences in over 270 cities alongside Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, and Larry the Cable Guy. In 2003, the group released their first comedy special, Blue Collar Comedy Tour: The Movie, which premiered as the most-watched special in Comedy Central’s history and led to two follow-up films, Blue Collar Comedy Tour Rides Again and the Grammy-nominated Blue Collar Comedy Tour: One for the Road.

White has topped the Billboard Comedy Charts with all four of his albums and all of his DVDs went on to be certified Platinum. Off-stage, White is the author of the New York Times best-selling book Ron “Tater Salad” White: I Had the Right to Remain Silent…But I Didn’t Have the Ability.

He is currently touring the country doing stand-up and lives in Los Angeles.
